Product Name

Name: Acrylate-PEG-NHS

Product Overview

Acrylated Polyethylene Glycol NHS Ester is a bifunctional PEG crosslinker and is a heterofunctional, disubstituted polyethylene glycol derivative. It is modified with an acrylate group at one end and an NHS (succinimidyl ester) group at the other end. Among them, acrylate can participate in the composition of double bond modified polymer light curing gel system, while NHS can participate in the reaction of amino group (-NH2) on biologically active proteins to form stable amide bond. Therefore, the coupling of the target protein or drug with the double-bond modified polymer can be realized, delaying the slow release cycle and avoiding the sudden release of the drug. Material systems based on this principle have been widely used in biomedical fields such as drug loading and protein anchoring.

Light-cured hydrogels are widely used to deliver active factors (proteins/drugs), however, the traditional physical mixing method has the following problems: how to anchor the active factors in the gel network and thus increase their loading rate? How to maintain the bioactivity of the activator? How to prolong the action time of active factors without sudden release? In order to solve the above problems, XFNANO has introduced a gadget for protein/drug coupling with light-curing hydrogel - acrylated polyethylene glycol NHS ester (AC-PEG-NHS).
