Sodium alginate (Alg) is widely used in research fields such as in vitro cell culture, biomimetic extracellular matrices, and scaffold materials for tissue engineering due to its biocompatibility and ease of cross-linking and curing. Fluorescent labeled sodium alginate is achieved by grafting fluorescent molecules onto Alg, which has a specific fluorescent color depending on the grafted fluorescent molecules. Our research and development of fluorescent Alg can maintain the fluorescent properties for a long time, overcoming the shortcomings of physical mixing or electrostatic adsorption and other methods in which the fluorescent molecules are easy to diffuse out of the system, and at the same time, avoiding the shortcomings of uneven imaging of fluorescent particles. This product has a broad application prospect in 3D bioprinting, biosensing, biotracing and other research fields.
