Product Name
Name: Fluorescent Hyaluronic acid
Product Overview
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural glycosaminoglycan polymer consisting of D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine as disaccharide building blocks. It is a component of the extracellular matrix of animal tissues and has good water-locking and moisturizing properties, with high content in brain tissues, synovial fluid and vitreous humor. HA plays an important role in many biological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, morphogenesis, inflammation and wound healing.
Fluorescent HA is a fluorescent molecule chemically grafted onto an HA molecule to give it a specific fluorescent color by changing the type of fluorescent molecule. This method of chemical labeling maintains fluorescence for a long period of time, overcoming the drawbacks of physical mixing or electrostatic adsorption where the fluorescent molecules tend to diffuse out of the system, and also avoids the disadvantage of uneven imaging of fluorescent particles. The fluorescent HA has a promising application in 3D bioprinting, biosensing and biotracing.
