Product Name
Name: RGDfK Peptide Acryloyl
Product Overview
Acrylated RGD peptides are arginine-glycine-aspartate peptide sequences that bind specifically to a variety of cellular integrins and provide cell adhesion sites.
Only a few common hydrogel materials naturally contain RGD sequences (e.g., gelatin-based GelMA), and most hydrogels have poor cell adhesion properties and often require further chemical modification. A common strategy is to modify RGD peptides on biomaterials to promote cell adhesion to biomaterials and improve their biological properties. However, the traditional material modification process is complicated and prone to change its intrinsic properties. In order to enhance the cell adhesion properties of hydrogels, the CDF team developed an easy-to-use solution: acryloylated RGD peptide (XFBM253), which can be modified onto light-curing hydrogel materials by simple photopolymerization.
The acryloylated RGD peptide molecule contains polymerizable olefinic functional groups, which can be chemically coupled with photocurable hydrogels such as PEGDA (XFBM249 encoded by CDFG), AlgMA (XFBM07/08), HAMA (XFBM09/10), F127DA (XFBM248), DexMA (XFBM246), etc. by photoinitiation, significantly enhance the cell adhesion properties of the materials.
