Product Overview

The dispersion of carbon materials in polymers is indeed a challenging problem, mainly due to the high specific surface area, high surface energy and strong interaction between carbon materials (such as carbon nanotubes, graphene, etc.), which lead to their easy agglomeration and difficult to achieve uniform dispersion in the polymer matrix. The product helps to improve the wetting dispersion of carbon materials in the system of silicone polymers such as rubber and silicon PU.

Product Features

 

Reduce surface tension: The resin dispersant can reduce the surface tension between the surface of the carbon material and the polymer matrix, so that the carbon material is easier to be wet and wrapped by the polymer matrix.

Steric effect: part of the resin dispersant can be adsorbed on the surface of the carbon material to form a protective layer, which prevents the agglomeration between the particles of the carbon material through the steric effect.

Charge stabilization: Some resin dispersants are charged, can be adsorbed on the surface of carbon materials and give it a certain charge, and maintain the dispersion of carbon material particles through charge repulsion.


Application Fields

The dispersant contains 100% active material and is suitable for wetting and dispersing any silicon-containing polymer fillers and pigments. It can improve the fluidity and leveling of silicon-containing polymer and increase the surface gloss; The amount of dispersant added can improve the adhesion and flexibility of silicon-containing polymer to the matrix, generally 0.2-2% of the total formula, it is recommended to add in the dispersion stage of the feed filler.
