Product Name
Protein G magnetic microspheres
Product Overview
Protein G magnetic beads are high-performance affinity particles used in biomedical research, primarily for antibody purification and immunoprecipitation methods. They are typically made of superparamagnetic material and are coated with recombinant Protein G, a protein that specifically binds a wide range of mammalian IgGs.
Technical Parameter
Concentration: 30 mg/mL
Solvent: water
Diameter: ~1um
SPA load : 70-85ug/mg
Surface potential:~- 26 mV
Magnetic content: 35%-45%
Product Features
High capacity: high binding capacity, low sample volume per experiment .
Low non-specific binding: Stable pre-enclosed magnetic beads provide high purity products.
Flexibility: One bead contains both IgG binding domains of protein G, which is convenient to use.
Application Fields
Immunoprecipitation (IP) and Co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) assays: Protein G beads can be used to precipitate specific antibodies or their complexes from samples from a wide range of species, including mice, humans, rabbits, ewes, goats and sheep.
Antibody Purification: Particularly useful for purifying antibodies, including many IgG subclasses, from serum, cell culture supernatants or ascites.
Chemical cross-linking: antibodies can be immobilised onto magnetic beads using chemical cross-linkers to avoid IgG contamination in IP or Co-IP experiments, creating reusable immunoprecipitation beads.
