Product overview
Layered double hydroxides (LDH) are typical layered materials, usually consisting of several layers of positively charged metal cations and anions with a balanced charge. However, due to the weak interlayer anion and interlayer force, it is easy to be replaced and the layer spacing of LDH is enlarged, so LDH has more exposure sites, lower diffusion barrier and shorter diffusion path. In addition, the metal ions of LDH are uniformly distributed in the structure and the ionic composition can be adjusted. If one of the metal ions is a transition metal ion with catalytic activity, LDH as a whole will show higher catalytic activity and selectivity. The above characteristics make LDH have great potential for development and application, and it is a hot spot in materials research in recent years.

Product characteristics
1) Good layered structure: MgFe-LDH exhibits sharp, symmetrical and narrow characteristic peaks in the XRD pattern, demonstrating the successful construction of nanomaterials with a completely layered structure;
2) Good biocompatibility: The average diameter of MgFe-LDH nanoparticles is between 70-80nm, and the Zeta potential of MgFe-LDH nps is +25.7mV, which will promote the nps to adhere to the negatively charged cell membrane;
3) Good catalytic activity: Formed by the uniform distribution of active metal magnesium ions and transition metal iron ions, coupled with the low coordination atomic number due to the ultra-thin structure, MgFe-LDH has good catalytic activity, suitable for a variety of reaction catalysts (such as hydrogen evolution oxygen evolution, etc.).
Application Fields
1)Catalyst devices: MgFe-LDH can be used in many REDOX reactions to increase the reaction rate, such as HER, OER and carbon dioxide reduction;
2)Load adsorption domain: MgFe-LDH can be used for support carrier and organic matter adsorption, such as small molecular weight organic matter load or selective adsorption of organic pollutants;
3)Biomedical field: Compared with other metal ions (such as aluminum ions), iron ions have better biological tolerance, can maintain biological activity and function for a longer time, and MgFe-LDH is small in overall size and positive charge, so it is also suitable for biomedical fields.
