Product Name

Name: Carboxyl Graphene quantum dots

Product Overview

Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are nanoscale fragments of graphene with unique physical and chemical properties, such as quantum size effects, edge effects, etc. By specific synthesis methods, the size, shape, and luminescent properties of GQDs can be controlled. At present, Xianfeng Nano's available quantum dots are divided into graphene oxide quantum dots, graphene quantum dots, semiconductor quantum dots, etc. Customers can choose according to their experimental needs. The preparation methods of graphene quantum dots on sale are divided into bottom-up and top-down, with different colors of luminescence available, such as green light, blue light, red light, and white light. Meanwhile, graphene quantum dots with different functional groups can be selected, which is also helpful for later modification coupling. In addition, nitrogen doped and boron doped graphene quantum dots can be selected. At present, the applications of graphene quantum dots are mostly focused on fluorescence imaging, nanoadditives, antibacterial, and biotoxicity.

Product Features

Quantum effects: Graphene quantum dots exhibit significant quantum confinement and edge effects due to their extremely small size (usually less than 100 nanometers, and can even reach below 10 nanometers). These effects endow CGQDs with unique optical, electrical, and chemical properties.

Good water solubility: Due to the presence of carboxyl groups on the surface, CGQDs have good water solubility, making them easy to disperse and process in aqueous solutions.

Biocompatibility: Carboxylation modification enhances the biocompatibility of graphene quantum dots, making them more suitable for biomedical applications.

Chemical reactivity: The presence of carboxyl groups endows CGQDs with high chemical reactivity, allowing them to connect or modify with other molecules or materials through chemical reactions.

Application Fields

Biological imaging: CGQDs have excellent fluorescence performance and biocompatibility, and are therefore widely used in fields such as cell imaging, biomarkers, and tissue imaging.

Optoelectronic devices: With their unique optical and electrical properties, CGQDs have shown potential application value in optoelectronic devices such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), solar cells, and other fields.

Sensors: The high sensitivity and rapid response capability of CGQDs make them ideal materials for making biosensors and chemical sensors.
