Product Name

Carboxylated magnetic microspheres (low non-specificity)

 Product Overview

Carboxylated Magnetic Microspheres (low non-specificity) are functionalized nano- or micron-sized magnetic particles with abundant carboxyl functional groups introduced on the surface and a special chemical treatment to reduce the possibility of non-specific adsorption. The 1um carboxylated magnetic microspheres are synthesized by core-shell structure design, with inner core PS spheres, outer iron tetroxide, outermost encapsulation layer, and carboxyl groups obtained by polymer modification. With low non-specific adsorption, they can be covalently coupled with peptides, proteins, antibodies, oligonucleotides and other biological ligands under the action of special chemical reagents (e.g., EDC), and are especially suitable for cell sorting, affinity chromatography and immunoassay.

Product Features

Low non-specific adsorption: the carboxylation of the surface of these microspheres reduces non-specific adsorption, which is particularly important for biomedical experiments that require highly specific binding .

High carboxyl content: The high concentration of carboxyl functional groups on the surface of the microspheres facilitates the coupling of a wide range of biomolecules, such as peptides, proteins, antibodies, oligonucleotides, etc., via covalent bonds.

Superparamagnetic: The carboxylated magnetic microspheres are superparamagnetic, which allows them to be rapidly separated under an applied magnetic field, facilitating experimental manipulation.  Monodispersity and stability: the microspheres have good monodispersity and stability in water, which is conducive to the reproducibility of experiments and consistency of results.

Application Fields

Separation and purification of biomolecules: e.g. affinity chromatography of proteins, nucleic acids, cells, etc.

Immunoprecipitation and immunoprecipitation: for the study of protein-protein interactions.

Cell sorting: magnetic separation based on cell surface markers.

Drug carriers: as part of targeted drug delivery systems.

Bioassays: Used in sensors and diagnostic reagents to capture target molecules.

Related Information

Carboxylated magnetic microspheres have good hydrophilicity and monodispersity. Due to the high magnetic content, the microsphere is easy to precipitate at the bottom after a long time of placement, and can be suspended again after a short time of ultrasonic treatment or vibration before use. Sealed, avoid light, and keep at 4¡ãC Expiry date: Six months before unsealing.
