Product Name

Name: Fluorinated Graphite

Product Overview

Fluorinated graphite is a new type of carbon/graphite material with excellent performance and unique quality. It is a compound formed by covalent bonding between fluorine atoms and carbon atoms that form a network plane. Its chemical structural formula can be represented by (CFx) n. The performance of fluorinated graphite varies with the ratio of C/F atoms in its molecular structure. Fluorinated graphite with a C/F ratio of ¡ãC1 has excellent thermal stability and is an insulator for both electricity and heat. It is not corroded by strong acids and bases and has better lubrication performance than MoS2 and flake graphite. A C/F ratio greater than 1 is called low fluorinated graphite, which appears gray black in color and has poor thermal stability. It is generally not used as a lubricant. But it is an ideal material for manufacturing high-energy anhydrous battery cathodes.

Product Features

1. Good chemical stability: Due to the introduction of fluorine atoms, fluorinated graphite can maintain stable structure and properties in many chemical environments. For example, it can maintain its chemical composition under harsh conditions such as strong acids and bases.

2. Unique electrical properties: Different degrees of fluorination can cause changes in its electrical properties. From insulators to semiconductors, even exhibiting certain conductivity under certain conditions.

3. Low surface energy: This makes it have good hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, with potential applications in areas such as anti fouling and self-cleaning. For example, it can be used to manufacture non stick surface coatings.

4. Enhanced mechanical properties: Fluorinated graphite may have improved mechanical properties such as strength and hardness.

Application Fields

Battery material: Fluorinated graphite is used as a modifier for electrode materials. Its unique structure and chemical properties contribute to improving the energy density, cycling stability, and safety of batteries. Especially in lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, the application of fluorinated graphite can significantly improve the performance of batteries.

Energy storage and conversion: In addition to being used as a battery material, fluorinated graphite can also be used in energy storage and conversion equipment such as solar cells and fuel cells. Its excellent conductivity and chemical stability make it have potential application value in these fields.

Anti corrosion coating: The corrosion resistance and stability of fluorinated graphite make it an ideal material for preparing anti-corrosion coatings. The coating coated with fluorinated graphite can effectively resist chemical corrosion and physical wear, protecting the substrate from damage.
