Hydroxylated boron nitride nanosheets are obtained by hydroxylation modification of boron nitride nanosheets, which have good water dispersibility and broaden their application fields. Boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs) are two-dimensional nanomaterials with unique structures and properties.

A graphite like layered structure is formed by covalent bonding between boron (B) and nitrogen (N) atoms.

Layers interact with each other through weaker van der Waals forces. Boron nitride nanosheets have good insulation properties, low electrical conductivity, are excellent electrical insulation materials, and can effectively transfer heat.
