Product Name

MnO2 nanosheet dispersion

Product Overview

Among the various types of manganese oxides and their derivatives, manganese dioxide is widely used in various fields due to its unique properties. Manganese dioxide nanoparticles have a variety of morphologies including four dimensions: zero-dimensional, one-dimensional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional. Manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanosheets are two-dimensional nanomaterials with redox activity, consisting of three atomic layers, whose structure is formed by one Mn atomic layer surrounded by two O atomic layers. The d-d jump of manganese ions in manganese dioxide nanosheets produces a broad absorption spectrum at 380 nm (200-600 nm) with a large molar extinction coefficient.

Product Features

Antioxidant activity: It can scavenge free radicals and has a catalytic effect that mimics enzyme activity, such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase.

Electrochemical properties: In the field of electrochemical energy storage, its high specific surface area and excellent conductivity can enhance the charge/discharge rate and increase the energy density.

Catalytic performance: In oxygen reduction reaction, hydrogen production by electrolysis of water, etc., the reaction rate is accelerated by providing a highly active surface.

Application Fields

Energy storage: Used as electrode materials for supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries to increase energy density and charge/discharge speed.

Catalyst: used as catalyst in oxygen reduction reaction, hydrogen production by electrolysis of water, etc. to accelerate the reaction rate.

Biomedicine: As a nanocarrier for DNA enzymes, it carries DNA enzymes into cells for gene silencing treatment, while its transport efficiency in cells can be monitored by fluorescence/NMR dual-mode imaging.

Sensors: Due to their special electronic properties, they can be used to make chemical sensors to detect gases, biomolecules, etc.
