Product Name Pure NaNbO₃ Plate like Powder Product Overview Pure NaNbO₃ Platelike Powder (Sodium Niobate, chemical formula NaNbO₃) is a high-aspect-ratio, single-crystalline, plate-shaped perovskite powder synthesized by Prof. Yang Zhen's research group via molten salt synthesis (MSS) or hydrothermal synthesis. NaNbO₃ is a typical antiferroelectric material and an important component of lead-free piezoelectric/dielectric/energy-storage materials. Compared with conventional spherical or irregular powders, platelike NaNbO₃ serves as an ideal "template grain" for fabricating high-performance textured piezoelectric ceramics, achieving piezoelectric properties along specific orientations approaching or even exceeding those of single crystals. The powder has a purity of 3N (99.9%), with plate length 15–25 μm and thickness ~ 1 μm. Product Features 1. Platelike Single-Crystal Morphology: Aspect ratio of 15:1–25:1; serves as an ideal "template grain" for guiding oriented grain growth in hot-pressing or reactive templated grain growth (RTGG) sintering. 2. High Purity: 3N (≥ 99.9%) ensures excellent chemical stability during sintering without introducing secondary phases. 3. Uniform Size: Length distributed in 15–25 μm with excellent monodispersity; high batch-to-batch consistency, avoiding abnormal grain growth during sintering. 4. Crystallographic Orientation: Platelike NaNbO₃ grains naturally expose (001)/(010) facets, enabling template-induced piezoelectric performance enhancement to match PZT-level via orientation engineering. 5. Non-Agglomerated: Surfactant-assisted or post-washing treatments ensure excellent dispersibility, facilitating slurry preparation and tape casting. 6. Multi-Functional Building Block: Beyond serving as a texture template, can independently act as antiferroelectric ceramic precursor, catalyst support, or energy-storage material building block. Application Fields • Textured Piezoelectric Ceramics (Primary Use): As a template powder for RTGG/TGG processes to fabricate (001)/(010)-oriented KNN-based textured ceramics, achieving d₃₃ exceeding 500 pC/N — approaching single-crystal PZT performance. • Antiferroelectric Ceramics: NaNbO₃ is antiferroelectric at room temperature; can be used to manufacture antiferroelectric energy-storage ceramics with high Wrec for high-power pulse capacitors. • Water Treatment / Photocatalysis: Leveraging its unique plate morphology and semiconducting properties as catalysts for photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants and hydrogen production. • Dielectric Ceramics / MLCC: Used as raw material for MLCC dielectric layers. • Lithium / Sodium Battery Research: Used as NLO-active material or intercalation-type electrode research material. • Composite Reinforcement: Combined with polymers (PVDF, epoxy resin) to prepare flexible piezoelectric and dielectric composites. • Research Reference Materials: For fundamental research on lead-free antiferroelectrics and texture growth mechanisms.
