Product Name

Name: Pyrolytic graphite

Product Overview

Pyrolysis graphite is a type of artificial graphite that has the characteristics of high density, high purity, and anisotropy in thermal, electrical, magnetic, and mechanical properties. It is formed by chemical vapor deposition of high-purity hydrocarbon gases on a graphite matrix at 1800-2000 ¡ãC
The structure of pyrolytic graphite is composed of hexagonal layers of carbon atoms, but it does not possess three-dimensional ordering and is only stacked in parallel. The interlayer spacing varies depending on the deposition temperature. The higher the deposition temperature, the smaller the interlayer spacing, and the higher the degree of graphitization.
Pyrolytic graphite has good chemical stability and is stable to water, organic solvents, and most acids and bases. However, it is prone to chemical reactions with chromic acid and chlorate solutions, concentrated sulfuric acid, and concentrated nitric acid.

In the aerospace field, it is used to manufacture key components such as rocket engine nozzles and aircraft thermal protection systems, utilizing their high temperature resistance and high thermal conductivity.
Electronic industry: capable of producing heat sinks, brushes, etc. for semiconductor devices due to their excellent conductivity and thermal conductivity.
Nuclear industry: certain components in nuclear reactors, due to their radiation resistance and high purity characteristics.
High temperature furnace tools, such as graphite crucibles, can withstand high temperatures and have good chemical stability.
Brushes and collector rings: Ensure good conductive contact in motors and other equipment.
Sealing material: Utilize its self-lubricating properties and certain elasticity.
New material research and development: used as a basic material to develop composite materials with special properties.

Product Features

Pyrolysis graphite has the following significant characteristics:
Anisotropy: There are significant differences in performance in different directions, such as significant differences in conductivity and thermal conductivity parallel to and perpendicular to the layer direction.
High conductivity: Especially in the direction parallel to the surface, it has good conductivity.
High thermal conductivity: can effectively conduct heat.
High purity: prepared by special processes with low impurity content.
Good self-lubricating properties: can reduce friction and wear.
Corrosion resistance: It has a certain tolerance to many chemical substances.
Good mechanical properties: having certain strength and hardness in specific directions.
Good stability: It can maintain its performance stability under certain temperature and environmental conditions.
