Reconstitution Dissolved in sterile water, it is recommended to add 0.1% HSA or BSA for long-term preservation. STORAGE Stability and Storage 12 months from date of receipt at -20°C to -70°C. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for almost 6 months (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage. BACKGROUND Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is an anti-inflammatory cytokine that belongs to the IL-10 family. The Interleukin (IL)-10 cytokine family includes IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24, and IL-26, which are considered as Class 2α-helical cytokines. IL-10, a cytokine with anti-inflammatory properties, has a central role in infection by limiting the immune response to pathogens and thereby preventing damage to the host. IL10 is produced by a variety of cell lines, including T-cells, macrophages, mast cells, and other cell types, while it is produced primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by lymphocytes. Data SDS-PAGE Bioactivity Active Recombinant Human IL-10 Protein was determined by SDS-PAGE with Coomassie Blue. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using MC/9 mouse mast cells. The ED50 for this effect is 5-10 ng/mL.
