Product Name
Name:a>Silica Magnetic Beads for Nucleic Acid Extraction
Product Overview
Nucleic acid extraction silicon hydroxyl magnetic beads are a type of functional magnetic beads used for nucleic acid extraction. They are typically composed of superparamagnetic Fe3O4 as the core and coated with a SiO2 layer on the outside, with silicon hydroxyl (- OH) functional groups on the surface. These special surface modifications provide a high specific surface area and good adsorption, which contribute to the enrichment, extraction, and purification processes of nucleic acids

Application Fields
Nucleic acid extraction: Silicon hydroxyl magnetic beads can be used to extract nucleic acids from various biological samples. Under high salt and low pH conditions, the silicon hydroxyl groups on the surface of magnetic beads bind specifically to nucleic acids through hydrophobic, hydrogen bonding, and electrostatic interactions, achieving rapid separation of nucleic acids.
Purification and sorting of nucleic acids: The principle of magnetic bead binding includes magnetic beads, polyethylene glycol (PEG), salt ions, etc. in the commercial magnetic bead product system, used for purification and fragment size sorting of nucleic acids.
MRNA isolation and purification: Using magnetic beads with Oligo (dT) modification on the surface, mRNA with PolyA tail is specifically bound through hybridization principle to isolate mRNA from total RNA or tissue cells.
Targeted capture sequencing: Magnetic beads can be used in liquid-phase capture methods, where probes carrying biotin hybridize complementarily with the target region and bind to streptavidin magnetic beads to achieve capture, for high-throughput sequencing (NGS).
Immunoassay: Magnetic bead surfaces bind active proteins through externally modified functional groups, serving as carriers for antigen antibody reactions and used for the detection of hormones, neurotransmitters, cytokines, tumor associated antigens, and other substances.
