SF consists of a hydrophobic peptide chain (H chain) and a hydrophilic peptide chain (L chain), and the special amino acid sequences of the H and L chains allow it to form a variety of protein secondary conformations. By regulating the secondary structure of silk protein, it is possible to effectively control the various properties of silk protein materials, including the preparation of high-strength and high-orientation materials.
